News from Catalunya School

As a school we decided to make a big display in the main hall; we agreed to work a different topic each term that let us know a little bit better our partners countries. Before the end of the first term each grade concentrated in searching information about how our partners celebrate Christmas time and they reflected in different ways and using various techniques.
  • 1st grade made the Catalonian part: a Catalan countryside landscape with a “Tió” and the Three Wise Men following the star of Bethlehem as the main characters.
  • 2nd grade made the French part: A seaside landscape in Brittany which includes a lighthouse, a rocky shore and a set of typical houses where each one represents a day in the Advent calendar.
  • 3rd grade made the Welsh part: a Christmas wreath on a countryside house’s door as a traditional decoration.
  • 4th grade made the German part: information and pictures about Christmas traditions.
  • 5th grade made the Czeck part: information and pictures about Christmas traditions.
  • 6th grade made the Polish part: information and pictures about Christmas traditions.
Next to the display, you can see also our Comenius Corner with all your Christmas best wishes.
